2 lb pork ribs
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly-ground black pepper
1 cup unsweetened apple sauce
1/2 cup sugar free maple syrup
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp cinnamonRecipe
* Place ribs in an ovenproof dish and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for 30 minutes, drain fat from pan.
* In a heavy saucepan, mix apple sauce, syrup, paprika, garlic powder and cinnamon. Over medium-high heat, bring the sauce to the boiling point and continue boiling for one to two minutes.
* Brush prebaked ribs liberally with the sauce. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Turn ribs and bush underside with remaining sauce. Continue baking for another 10 minutes.
