Chicken: Chicken Soup

List of Ingredients
1 large fryer, boiled, deboned
1 bunch green onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, cleaned and diced
1 can water chestnuts, drained
8 ounce package of fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 pack soup pasta
1 package green peas
4-5 red potatoes, diced, parboiled
broth from chicken
salt & pepper, to taste
Recipe
In a large heavy soup pot, boil fryer. I season the water. When chicken is tender, take the chicken out and put it on a platter to cool. When cool, skin and debone chicken, then rough shred chicken. Cool the broth and remove grease from top.
When ready, boil the broth. Add onions, green onions, celery, potatoes and carrots. Then, add water chestnuts. Add seasoning as needed. Let this cook.
About 15 minutes or so before done, add chicken back into the broth. Add soup pasta and mushrooms. Cook until pasta is done and chicken is hot.
