Seafood: Crab Soup

2 tablespoons finely chopped onions
2 cups crabmeat (carefully picked over)
3 cups milk
2 tablespoons whiskey
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cream
Recipe
Cook onions in butter until transparent. Stir in crabmeat, salt and pepper to taste; cook over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the milk and cook over boiling water for 15 minutes. Add cream, and when mix is piping hot stir in whiskey.
