List of Ingredients
1 can creamed corn
4 ounces imitation crab meat, shredded
2 cups defatted chicken broth
1 cup peas, fresh or frozen
1 egg white, optional
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon rice wine vinegar
1 pinch sugar, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder
1 pinch five spice powder
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil, optional
Recipe
Combine creamed corn and chicken broth in a pot and heat on high. Combine soy sauce, vinegar and seasonings and mix well. Add to the broth mixture. Bring to the simmer and add the peas and "crab" meat. Continue to simmer until peas are cooked through. If desired, beat egg white lightly and add to soup in a thin stream while stirring; this will form "rags". Remove from heat and stir in sesame oil just before serving. Serving Suggestions: Good served with a salad with an Asian dressing and maybe some Asian dumplings or filled buns. It is a great soup to warm up a cold day.
