List of Ingredients
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup flour
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup clam juice
1 potato, peeled, chopped
1/3 cup dry white wine
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 20 ounces can salmon (or 1/3 cup flaked poached)
1 cup chopped mushrooms
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/3 cup chopped red pepper
1/3 cup chopped yellow bell peppers
1/3 cup chopped carrots
1/3 cup chopped celery
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon minced garlic
1/8 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
2/3 cup heavy cream
2/3 cup half and half
Recipe
In small sauce pan melt 1/3 cup butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth--cook & stir constantly about 2 minutes. Set aside. In large, deep "soup" pan combine chicken broth, clam juice, & potatoes & bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover & simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in wine, lemon juice, salmon, mushrooms, onion, green/red/yellow peppers, carrot, celery, Worcestershire sauce, celery seed, seasoned salt, pepper, garlic, & hot-pepper sauce. Bring to boil, then reduce heat, cover & simmer 15-20 minutes until veggies are tender. Gradually stir in heavy cream, half & half, & flour mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until soup thickens & boils. (Be careful not to scorch!)
