Sausage: Nana's Tuscan Sausage Soup

List of Ingredients
3 tablespoon butter
3 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
3 cloves minced garlic
5 links sweet italian sausage, turkey sausage works well too
1-1/2 lbs. sliced portobella mushrooms
1 can cannelloni beans, rinsed, drained well
5 cups chicken broth
1/2 cups dry white wine

Remove sausage from casings & brown in a skillet, set aside. In a large stockpot, melt butter with oil, and saute onions and garlic until golden and very tender. Add mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes. Add chicken broth, beans, browned sausage, and wine. Simmer over medium heat for 20 to 30 minutes, until mushrooms are very tender. Sprinkle with black pepper to taste! Serves 6.
