Turnip Soup w/ Roasted Garlic

2 onions, quartered
1 whole bulb garlic, top cut off
4 cups chopped turnips
2 1/2 cups low salt chicken broth
1 cup evaporated skim milk Recipe
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Place onions, garlic and turnips in a large glass baking dish. Add 1 cup broth and bake for 1 1/2 hours. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 45 minutes. Transfer the onions and turnips to a blender or food processor. Squeeze out the roasted cloves from the garlic bulb and add to the blender or processor. ad the cooking liquid from the baking dish. Process until smooth. Pour the puree into a large saucepan. Stir int he remaining broth and the evaporated milk, stir well and heat through. Serve at once.
