Best Ever Crockpot Beef Stew

List of Ingredients

2 pounds beef stew meat
1/2 cup flour
3 tablespoons shortening
4 carrots, sliced
3 celery stalks, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
4 cups water
1 medium onion, chopped


Recipe

Dredge meat in flour, melt shortening in skillet. Add Beef cubes to skillet and saute until evenly browned. Transfer to Crock-Pot. Add onion, carrots, celery, garlic, and other seasonings. Pour in water and stir. Cover and cook on low 10 to 12 hours or high 5 to 6 hours. Serve. Serves 8 to 10.
