Apple Turkey Loaf

1 tablespoon butter
2 granny smith apples, peeled, cored -- chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2 pounds ground turkey
1 1/2 teaspoons dried marjoram
1 teaspoon dry tyme
1 teaspoon dry sage
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 egg whites
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/2 cup milk
Recipe
Melt butter in a 10-12 inch frying pan over medium heat. Add apples and onion and cook until soft, about 10 minutes. Let cool, then scrape into a large bowl. Mix in turkey, herbs, egg white, bread crumbs and milk. Pat mixture into a 9x5 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350ºF until browned on top and no longer pink in center, about 1 hour. Drain fat from pan, then invert pan and turn loaf out onto a platter. Serves 6.
