Stroganoff: Microwave Stroganoff

2 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 pounds sirloin steak, cut in strips
1/4 cup flour
1 envelope onion soup mix
2 1/4 cups hot water
4 ounces mushroom pieces, drained
1/2 cup sour cream
hot cooked egg noodles
Recipe
Melt butter in a 2-qt. microwave-safe dish; arrange eat evenly in dish. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 6 minutes, stirring once. Remove meat with a slotted spoon and keep warm. Stir flour and soup mix into drippings until blended. Gradually add water, stirring until smooth. Add mushrooms and beef. Cover and microwave on high for 18 minutes or until the meat is tender and the sauce is thickened, stirring several times and rotating a half turn once. Stir in the sour cream. Serve over noodles. Serves 6.
