Supper Salad: Southwestern Supper Salad

1 pound ground beef
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
16 ounces hot chili beans with gravy
4 cups corn chips -- (4 to 6)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups shredded lettuce
1 large tomato, chopped
6 green onions, chopped
1 small avocado, chopped
1/2 cup sliced olives, optional
1 cup sour cream

Recipe
In a skillet, brown beef and drain. Sprinkle with salt and pepper; set aside. Heat beans in a saucepan or in the microwave. On six plates, layer corn chips, beef, cheese, beans and lettuce. Sprinkle with tomato, green pepper, onions, and avocado and olives if desired. Top with sour cream and salsa. Yield: 6 servings.
