    Coconut Meatballs in Chutney Sauce

    List of Ingredients




    Meatballs:
    1 lb hamburger
    1 x egg slightly beaten
    1/2 cup flaked coconut
    2 tbl minced onion
    1/3 cup fine dry bread crumbs
    1/4 cup milk
    1/2 cup teaspoon salt
    1/8 tsp pepper
    1 tbl steak sauce

    Sauce:
    1/4 cup dry red wine
    1/4 cup currant jelly
    1/4 cup chutney
    2 tsp dry mustard

    Recipe



    MEATBALLS: Combine all ingredients and mix well. Form into 3/4 inch balls. In a baking pan with sides, bake for 15 minutes.* Makes about 48 meatballs.

    SAUCE: Mix ingredients together and add meatballs. Bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to simmer for 15 minutes or until metballs are glazed. Serve in a chafing dish. Keep warm. Serve with toothpicks.
