    Jelly: Candy Apple Jelly

    Recipe Introduction

    Original poster notes: Pretty pink apple and cinnamon jelly for a spicier slice of toast or muffin.

    List of Ingredients

    4 cups apple juice
    1/2 cup red-hot candies
    1 (1.75 ounces) package fruit pectin
    4 1/2 cups sugar

    Recipe

    1. Combine juice, candy and pectin in a large pot.
    2. Bring to a full boil over high heat, stirring constantly.
    3. Stir in sugar.
    4. Return to a full boil.
    5. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
    6. Remove from heat.
    7. Skim off foam and unmelted candy.
    8. Pour hot liquid into hot jars, leaving 1/4 inch head space.
    9. Adjust lids.
    10. Process for 5 minutes in boiling water bath.
