2 3/4 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 1/2 cups sugar

Combine all and store in airtight container. Give mix in a glass canister, and pack into white handled basket lined with napkin, with shaker of cinnamon sugar.
Snickerdoodles (5 dozen): 1 c. butter softened, 2 eggs, 1 package snickerdoodle mix, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tbl cinnamon. Preheat oven to 350ºF. In the large bowl of an electric mixer, cream the butter until light, add the eggs, and beat on low speed until the mixture is smooth. Add the snickerdoodle mix and continue to beat on low speed until dough begins to form. Combine sugar and cinnamon in small bowl. Shape dough into 1" balls and roll in cinnamon sugar blend. Arrange on ungreased baking sheets 2 inches apart, and bake for 16-18 minutes, or until light tan. Transfer to wire racks to cool.
