Marinated Tomatoes with Basil

List of Ingredients
4 large ripe tomatoes
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped small
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 teaspoon sugar
salt and fresh ground black pepperRecipe
Slice the tomatoes 1/2 inch thick. Arrange them on a platter in a single layer. Sprinkle the basil over the tomatoes. In a small bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients. Pour over the tomatoes and let stand at room temperature 1 hour before serving. Serves 6.
