Fruit Salad with Lemon Sauce

SAUCE:
juice from 2 (15 oz) cans pineapple
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 beaten egg
3 tbl. flour
juice of 1 lemon
1/4 cup butter
SALAD:
3 cans mandarin oranges
3 apples, peeled and diced
2 cans chunk pineapple (15 oz size)
2 large bananas
2 cups seedless grapes, halved
6 ounces red maraschino cherries
6 ounces green maraschino cherries
1 1/2 cups mini marshmallowsRecipe
Make sauce first. Mix sugar, flour and eggs. Gradually add pineapple juice and water. Beat well. Cook over low heat until thickened. Stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in butter, lemon juice and rind. Chill until cool. Combine oranges, pineapple, apples, bananas, marshmallows, grapes, cherries, drain all excess juice. Pour chilled sauce over fruit as soon as possible mix gently. Chill.
