    Hot Buttered Rum Sauce

    List of Ingredients


    1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup butter
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
    1/4 cup dark rum (not light)
    2 teaspoons vanilla

    Recipe

    In medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, salt and sweetened condensed milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Cook until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat. Stir in rum and vanilla. Pour into two 10 oz. decorative glass jars and cover. Store in refrigeratore. Serve warm. Makes 2 1/2 cups.
