1 cup Rolled oats -- uncooked
    1/3 cup Granulated sugar
    1 tablespoon Baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
    1/8 teaspoon Salt
6 tablespoons Unsalted margarine; cold -- cut up

Cut the dough into circles with a lightly floured 1 1/2-inch biscuit cutter. Place on the baking sheets. Brush the tops with buttermilk and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from the baking sheets. Cool on wire racks for 10 minutes.
