Cheese & Basil Buttermilk Scones

2 cups Flour
1/4 cup Grated parmesan/romano
2 teaspoons Baking powder
1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
2 tablespoons Chopped fresh basil
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
2/3 cup Buttermilk
3 tablespoons Olive oil
1 tablespoon Egg substitute(or 1 egg)
Recipe
Combine flour, cheese, baking powder, baking soda, basil (can use 3 tsp dried instead of fresh), and pepper in medium bowl. Add buttermilk and oil. Mix only until dry ingredients are moistened. Divide dough into 2 balls. Knead gently 3 times on floured surface. Pat dough into 2 circles 7-8 inches in diameter. With sharp knife score each into 6 wedges but do not cut through. Brush with egg (optionally) to glaze. Bake in preheated 450 oven, 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
