Currant Orange Scones

3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon + 1 tsp. baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
1 cup dried currants
1 tablespoon grated orange peel
1 large egg
1 cup nonfat plain yogurt

Preheat oven to 400ºF. In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix well. Cut butter into flour mixture. Stir in currants and orange peel. In a small bowl, whisk together egg and yogurt. Add to flour mixture, stirring quickly with a fork until dough leaves side of bowl.Drop rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden. Remove to a wire rack. Immediately brush or drizzle honey on tops of scones.
