Dropped Scones

3/4 cup Self-rising flour
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon Butter
1/3 cup Granulated sugar
1 Egg
3 tablespoons Milk
6 drops Lemon extractRecipe
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Cut in the buter, then add the sugar. Beat together the egg and milk; add with the lemon flavoring to the flour mixture and mix well. Drop 1 tablespoonful at a time onto a greased griddle heated to 350 degrees. Brown and turn. Cool on a wire rack. These are traditionally served fresh at room temperature, spread with butter.
