Hot Raisin Scones

2 cups All-purpose flour
2 teaspoons Baking powder
1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
1/4 teaspoon Salt
2 tablespoons Sugar
1 teaspoon Grated lemon rind
1/2 cup Cold butter or margarine
1/2 cup Raisins
1/4 cup ButtermilkRecipe
Combine first 6 ingredients; cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly. Add raisins, tossing lightly. Add buttermilk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead lightly 6 times. Divide dough in half. Shape each portion into a 7-inch circle on an ungreased cookie sheet; cut each circle into 6 wedges. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
Place scones on 2 (8-inch) cake boards; wrap with heavy-duty plastic wrap. Freeze up to 1 month.
Directions for gift card: Thaw scone at room temperature; bake at 425 degrees for 6 to 7 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
