White Chocolate Macadamia Scones

2 cups flour
3 generous tbl. sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup chopped macadamia nuts
6 tablespoons butter
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup light cream
1 tablespoon light cream
2 teaspoons sugarRecipe
Combine flour, 3 tbsp sugar, baking powder, white chocolate chips, and chopped macadamia nuts. Cut in butter. Combine egg and 1/2 cup half-and-half; add to dry mixture. Stir until moistened. Turn dough onto a floured surface. Knead 12 - 15 strokes or until nearly smooth. Make dough into patties that are approxiamately 1/2" thick and 2 1/2 - 3 inches round. Place scone patties 1" apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Brush tops with 1 tbsp half-and-half and sprinkle with 2 tsp sugar. Bake at 400ºF for 12-15 minutes or till golden. Remove from baking sheet and cool on wire rack; serve warm.
