Scalloped: Extra Rich Scalloped Potatoes

4 tbl Sweet butter
6 md Idaho potatoes washed; -scrubbed, sliced thin
2 c Gruyere cheese grated
6 cl Garlic minced
salt and pepper
1 1/2 c Light cream
2/3 c Parmesan gratedRecipe
Oven at 350¼F. Grease a 9x13" baking pan with 1 T butter. Arrange: 1/3 the potatoes, 1/2 the cheese, 1/2 the garlic, season to taste. Repeat, ending with potatoes. Pour cream over, sprinkle with Parmesan, dot with butter, and bake 90 min. Serves 8.
