Pilaf: Almond Herb Pilaf

1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 cup long-grain rice
2 cups beef broth
1 teaspoon marjoram
1 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sliced almonds toastedRecipe
In a large skillet, sauté onion in butter until soft. Add rice; cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Add beef broth, marjoram, basil, and salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes or until all the liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Stir in almonds.
