Pilaf: Almond Herb Pilaf

1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 cup long-grain rice
2 cups beef broth
1 teaspoon marjoram
1 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sliced almonds toastedRecipe
In a large skillet, saut� onion in butter until soft.� Add rice; cook, stirring, for 1 minute.� Add beef broth, marjoram, basil, and salt.� Bring to a boil.� Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes or until all the liquid is absorbed.� Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes.� Stir in almonds.
