Sweets: Coffee Toffee Pretzel Rods

14 ounces caramels
2 tablespoons strongly brewed toffee
1 cup chopped Heath bars (or other toffee)
1/2 cup dark chocolate covered espresso beans finely chopped
1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted finely chopped
20 pretzel rods (about 6 1/2" long)
Recipe
Place caramels and coffee ina medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH (100% power) for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes or until caramels melt. Stir until smooth.
Combine toffee, espresso beans and almonds in a small bowl. Transfer toffee mixture to a sheet of waxed paper. Holding each pretzel at one end, use a small spatulat o dip and spread a thin layer of caramel onto a pretzel, removing the excess. Roll in toffee mixture and place on waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Let stand 1 1/2 hours at room temperature or until caramel hardens. Store pretzels in an airtight container in a cool place. Makes 20.
