Pick up a small bottle of Kung Pao Paste from an Asian shop or in the Asian section of Meijer. Unless you are a Kung Pao junky like Jeef, it will probably last you for about two months.
Okay take regular old on-sale bacon or ham--or even chicken (adding about a tsp of oil extra for chicken)
Fry or stir-fry four slices of bacon (sliced into one inch portions) until desired crispness [those of you who prefer European style bacon just show the strips to the burner] Then remove meat from stir-fry pan.
Add one and 1/2 cup of water for each ramen package and bring to a near boil. There shouldn't be any liquid left over, but if there is drain ramen.
Add bacon to ramen and approximately 1 to 2 teaspoons of Kung Pao sauce. I suggest you taste the Kung Pao sauce with your finger before you add any--you may wish to start with half a tsp.
Add chopped veggies if you like. Onions, celery, and garlic are all highly recommended.
