    Venison: Venison Meatloaf

    List of Ingredients




    2 pounds ground venison
    3/4 cup bread crumbs
    3/4 cup milk
    1 teaspoon seasoned salt
    1/2 teaspoon sweet basil or 1/2 teaspoon thyme
    1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    2 to 3 slices bacon (optional)

    Recipe



    Combine venison, bread crumbs, milk, seasoned salt, basil or thyme, garlic, onion and eggs. Mix well and form into loaf on 12-inch baking pan with 2 1/2 inch to 3-inch sides. (lined with foil to ease clean-up) Bake at 400°F for 30 minutes; then, if desired, place bacon on top of loaf. Lower temperature to 325°F and bake an additional 45 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
