    Walnut: Black Walnut Bars

    List of Ingredients

    2 cups Flour -- sifted
    1 cup Brown sugar -- firmly packed
    1 cup Butter or regular margarine
    4 Eggs
    2 cups Brown sugar -- firmly packed
    2 teaspoons Vanilla
    2 tablespoons Flour
    1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon Salt
    2 cups Black walnuts -- chopped

    Recipe

    Mix together 2 cups flour and 1 cup brown sugar in large bowl. Cut in butter until crumbs form. Press into well-greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1" jelly roll pan. Bake in 350�F oven 10 minutes. Remove from oven and cool slightly, about 10 minutes. Turn oven temperature to 375�F. Beat eggs until light. Gradually beat in 2 cups brown sugar, then vanilla. Stir together 2 tablespoons flour, baking powder and salt. Add to egg mixture along with nuts. Spread over baked crust in pan. Bake in 375�F oven about 20 minutes or until light brown. Cool in pan on rack. Cut in 2x1" bars.
