    Chocolate: Chocolate Frosted Toffee Bars

    List of Ingredients

    BROWNIES:
    3/4 cup flour
    1/3 cup firm packed brown sugar
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 cup butter, softened
    14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
    1/2 cup dark corn syrup
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    4 cups flaked coconut, toasted

    FROSTING:
    1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
    3 tbl. whipping cream or milk -- (3 to 4)
    1/2 cup powdered sugar
    2 tablespoons butter, softened
    1 teaspoon vanilla

    Recipe

    Heat oven to 350ºF. Generously grease 13x9 inch baking pan. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup and level off. In large bowl, combine all brownie ingredients excet coconut, and mix well. Stir in coconut and spread in greased pan. Bake at 350ºF for 25-35 minutes or until golden brown. In small saucepan, heat chocolate chips in milk over low heat, stirring constantly. Stir in powdered sugar, 2 tbl. butter and 1 tsp vanilla, mixing well. Spread over cooled bars. Refrigerate 30 minutes, then cut into bars. Makes 48. Note: to toast coconut, spread on cookie sheet; bake at 350ºF for 12-16 minutes or until golden brown.
