Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars

CRUST
1-1/2 cups self-rising flour
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 13x9-inch baking pan with non-stick vegetable spray.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, butter, and sugar; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press into prepared baking pan. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
CHOCOLATE PECAN FILLING
3 eggs
3/4 cup corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups chopped pecans
1 12-ounce package semisweet chocolate morsels
In a medium bowl, combine eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla; whisk until well blended. Stir in pecans and chocolate morsels. Pour evenly over prepared crust.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until filling is set. Cool completely in baking pan on a wire rack. Cut into bars.
