English Toffee Bars

List of Ingredients
1 c butter, softened
1 c sugar
1 egg yolk, slightly beaten
2 c sifted flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 egg white, slightly beaten
1 c chopped pecans
2 squares semi-sweet chocolate, melted Recipe
Cream butter. Gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk and mix well. Sift flour and cinnamon together, then add to creamed mixture. Press into a greased 13x9 pan and brush with egg white. Bake at 275 for 50 minutes. Top with chopped pecans and drizzle with melted chocolate.
Becky's Notes:
I used unsalted butter and large eggs.
I did not use the entire egg white when brushing it on.
I put the chopped pecans on after 40 minutes of baking so they would toast just a little bit.
