    Chocolate: Fudge Nut Bars

    List of Ingredients

    BATTER:
    1 cup butter
    2 cups brown sugar
    2 eggs
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    2 1/2 cups sifted flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon salt
    3 cups quick oats

    FILLING:
    12 ounces chocolate chips
    1 can evaporated milk
    2 tablespoons butter
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 cup chopped nuts
    2 teaspoons vanilla

    Recipe

    Mix all batter ingredients, then set aside. Melt chocolate with milk, butter and salt in microwave. Stir until smooth. Fold in nuts and vanilla. Spread 2/3 of batter in bottom of jelly roll pan, then cover with fudge filling. Dot with remaining batter. Swirl batter over fudge filling. Bake at 350ºF for 25-30 minutes.
