    German Chocolate Pound Cake Bars

    1 package golden pound cake mix
    1/3 cup butter, melted
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
    1/4 cup butter
    1 package coconut pecan frosting mix (betty crocker)
    14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
    1 teaspoon vanilla

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease 13x9 inch pan. Mix cake mix (dry), 1/3 cup butter and the egg; spread in the pan. Bake about 15 minutes or until very light brown. Cool 10 minutes. Heat chocolate and 1/4 cup butter in saucepan over low heat until melted. Stir in remaining ingredients and spread over baked layer. Bake about 25 minutes or until top is shiny and slightly cracked. Cool and then cut into 3x1 inch bars. Makes 3 dozen.
