Almond Brownie Thins

BASE:
1 pound package fudge brownie mix pillsbury
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup oil
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 egg
TOPPING:
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sliced almonds
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons milk Recipe
Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only of 15x10 inch baking pan. In large bowl, combine all base ingredients; beat 50 strokes with spoon. Spread into greased pan and bake for 18-22 minutes or until top is shiny. Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, combine all topping ingredients, mixnig well. Cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring frequently. Remove brownies from oven; spread topping evenly over brownies. Broil 4-6 inches from heat for 1-2 minutes or until bubbly. Cool 20 minutes or until topping is set before cutting into bars. Makes 48.
