4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
powdered sugar
Recipe
In a saucepan, melt chocolate squares and butter and set aside to cool. Combine eggs, sugar, buttermilk, and vanilla and stir. Add cooled chocolate and butter and stir. Sprinkle in flour, baking powder and salt and mix well. Fold in chopped walnuts. Pour into a greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan and bake for 35 - 40 minutes at 350ºF. Allow brownies to cool and then sprinkle with Confectioner's sugar. The Skinny: Use your favorite egg and sugar substitute. You should not substitute for the buttermilk because it will change the flavor and texture of the brownies.
