Pillsbury's Favorite Fudge Brownies

BAR:
5 ounces unsweetened chocolate, cut up
3/4 cup butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 1/3 cups flour
1 1/2 cups coarse chopped walnuts
FROSTING:
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanillaRecipe
Heat oven to 375ºF. Grease 13x9 inch baking pan. In small saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate and 3/4 cup butter, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in 1 tbl. vanilla and set aside.
In large bowl, beat sugar and 4 eggs abotu 7 minutes, or until sugar is dissolved. fold chocolate, flour and nuts into egg mixture just until blended. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at 375ºF for 25-35 minutes; do NOT overbake. Cool. In small bowl, blend all frosting ingredients until smooth. Spread over bars. Refrigerate 1 hour and then cut into bars. Store in fridge. Makes 36.
