    Chocolate: Aunt Georgie's Chocolate Cake

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/2 cups sifted flour
    1 cup sugar
    3 tablespoons cocoa powder
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 egg
    1/4 cup butter, melted
    1 cup sour milk (or yogurt)
    1/4 cup hot water
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    sifted powdered sugar

    Recipe

    Sift together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt into mixing bowl. Add egg, butter, sour milk, hot water and vanilla. Beat with electric mixer at medium speed 2 minutes. Pour batter into greased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Bake in 350F oven 20 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool in pan on rack. Dust with confectioners sugar. Cut in squares. Makes 16 servings. NOTE: To sour milk, place 1 tbsp vinegar in measuring cup. Add enough milk to make 1 cup.
