Cherry: Cherry Lover's Cake

1 18 1/2 ounce cherry cake mix
1 cup water
1/4 cup maraschino cherry juice
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1/2 cup chopped almonds

Preheat oven to 350�F.� Spray a 10-inch tube pan with non-stick vegetable spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, water, cherry juice, oil, and eggs; beat until well blended.� Fold in almonds.� Pour into prepared tube pan.
Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean.� Cool in pan for 10 minutes.� Remove from pan; cool completely on a wire rack.
CHERRY FROSTING
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
3-1/2 cups confectioners� sugar
2 egg yolks
2 tablespoons maraschino cherry juice
Red food coloring
In a small bowl, cream butter; beat in confectioners� sugar.� Beat in egg yolks, cherry juice, and a few drops of red food coloring to make a delicate pink color and a smooth spreading consistency.� Spread over the top and sides of the cake.� Decorate with cherry halves.
