Chocolate Chip Cake

List of Ingredients
1/2 cup butter -- softened
1 1/2 cups sugar -- divided
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup sour cream -- 8 oz.
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon ground cinnamonRecipe
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and 1 cup sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda; add to the creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Spread half of the batter into a greased 9-inch square baking pan.
Sprinkle with the chocolate chips. Combine cinnamon and remaining sugar; sprinkle over chips. Spread with remaining batter. Bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
Yield: 8 servings.
