List of Ingredients
3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons soda
2/3 cup cooking oil
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 eggs
2/3 cup sugar
1 cup ribbon cane syrup
2 teaspoons ginger
1 cup buttermilk
Recipe
Sift the dry ingredients together. Add oil and syrup. Beat in the eggs and add the buttermilk last. Pour into greased and floured pan and bake at 350ºF for 25 minutes. Test for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center. When it comes out clean, cake is done. Use with lemon sauce icing.
