Chocolate: Microwave Chocolate Cake

List of Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup cold water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla
CHOCOLATE SAUCE:
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 cup boiling water
dash salt
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
In a bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Stir in the water, oil, vinegar and vanilla until well blended. Pour into an ungreased 8" square microwave-safe dish. Microwave on high for 6-8 minutes, turning dish every 2 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center coes out clean. In a quart microwave-safe bowl, combine sugar, cornstarch and cocoa. Stir in water and salt. Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until mixture boils. Microwave 1 minute more. Stir in butter and vanilla. Spoon over pieces of warm cake. Yield: 9 servings.
