Chocolate: Mom's Texas Sheet Cake *

2 sticks butter (1 cup)
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1 cup water
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking soda
FROSTING:
1 stick butter
6 tbl. milk -- (6 to 8)
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 pound powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
In saucepan, bring to a boil 2 sticks of butter, 4 Tbl. unsweetened cocoa, and 1 c. water. Add the flour, sugar and salt. Beat well eggs, buttermilk and baking soda, then add to flour mixture and beat well. Pour into greased jelly roll pan and cook at 375ºF for 22 minutes. To frost: bring to boil 1 stick of butter, 6-8 tsp milk and 4 Tbl. cocoa. Slowly add 3/4 to 1 box of powder sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. Cool cake 5 minutes and frost.
