    Apple: Raw Apple Cake with Hard Sauce

    List of Ingredients

    CAKE:
    4 cups diced apples
    2 cups brown sugar
    1/2 cup oil
    1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    2 cups wheat flour
    2 teaspoons baking soda
    2 teaspoons cinnamon
    1 teaspoon salt

    HARD SAUCE:
    1/4 cup butter
    3/4 cup brown sugar
    1 tbl. flour
    1 dash salt
    1 1/2 cups water
    1 teaspoon maple flavoring

    Recipe

    To prepare cake, combine apples and brown sugar, then mix thoroughly. Add oil, nuts, eggs and vanilla. Mix all dry ingredients and add to batter. Place in a greased and floured 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350ºF for 40-50 minutes or until done. To prepare sauce, melt butter in saucepan. Add all other ingredients, and cook until mixture thickens. Pour over warm cake and serve.
