Pound Cake: Brown Sugar Pound Cake

1 pound light brown sugar
1 cup sugar
5 eggs
3 sticks softened butter (3/4 pound)
3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
Recipe
Cream first four ingredients. Add fry ingredients alternately with milk, beating well. Add vanilla and nuts and mix well. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 325ºF for 1 1/2 hours.
