Peanut Butter Fudge

2 cups light brown sugar, packed
1 cup sugar
1 cup evaporated milk
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons peanut butter
1/2 cup chopped peanuts
Recipe
Line a 9x9 inch baking pan with piece of waxed paper and butter it. In heavy saucepan, cook sugars and milk over low heat, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil and continue boiling to softball stage (234ºF on thermometer), stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in butter. Allow to cool to lukewarm before stirring in peanut butter and vanilla, then beat smooth. Stir in peanuts if desired and pour into prepared pan. Chill, then cut into squares.
