    1/2 cup brown sugar packed
    1/2 cup dark corn syrup
    1/4 cup butter or margarine
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    6 cups Cheerios
    1 cup pecans or walnuts or peanuts
    1/2 cup slivered almonds

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 325 degrees. Butter a jelly roll pan. Heat sugar, syrup, butter, and salt in 3 quart pan over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in Cheerios and nuts until coated. Spread in pan. Bake 15 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Loosen with metal spatula. Let stand 1 hour. Store in covered container.
