    Toffee: Christy's Almond Roca *

    List of Ingredients

    1 pound butter (NO substitutes)
    2 cups sugar
    12 ounces chocolate chips
    almond pieces

    Recipe

    Butter a jellyroll pan and set aside. Cook butter and sugar until caramel colored and almost burnt (usually a minimum of 7 minutes). Immediately pour into buttered pan. Dump chocolate on top and spread. Sprinkle with almond pieces. When hardened, break into pieces. Be sure to cook long enough - should look almost burned.
