    2 1/2 cups Sugar
    1/2 cup Syrup, light corn
    1/2 cup Water, warm
    2 Egg whites stiffly beaten
    1 cup Nuts, chopped
    1 tablespoon Vanilla extract

    Recipe



    Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a saucepan. Place over low heat; boil until mixture forms threads when dropped from a spoon 9230 to 234 degrees on candy thermometer). Slowly pour half the syrup into the egg whites, beating while pouring.

    Boil remaining syrup until a hard ball is formed when syrup is dropped from a spoon into cold water (262 degrees on candy thermometer). Slowly pour syrup into egg white mixture, beating unitl thick. Stir in nuts and vanilla. Drop candy by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper or a lightly buttered cookie sheet.
