    Amish Country Cookbook Vol III

    List of Ingredients





    1/2 cup light corn syrup
    1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup butter
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    10 cups pecan halves

    Recipe



    Combine corn syrup, sugar and butter. Microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Stir and microwave another 1/2 to 1 1/2 minutes or until boiling. Add vanilla and baking soda; pour over pecans. Stir until coated evenly. Spread on baking sheet and bake at 250ºF for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes. Cool before storing in container.
